Automatic Rewinder

Automatic Rewinder

Automatic rewinders transfer flexible web materials from one roll to another under controlled winding conditions. They are used when a roll needs to be rewound more evenly, prepared for the next process, or handled at a specific speed and tension. Rewinding systems are capable to handle tension control, speed adjustment, length and piece counting, and automatic web guiding to keep the material running in the correct position throughout the process. They are suitable for films, paper, adhesive tapes, and other flexible roll materials.

Advantages
  • The electromagnetic semi-automatic tension control system adjusts the tension as the roll diameter changes during rewinding, preventing the material from being pulled too tightly and breaking or becoming too loose and winding unevenly.
  • Operators can adjust the rewinding speed precisely through a Delta inverter, with smooth acceleration and stopping during operation.
  • The interchangeable shaft base can work with different shaft types, including air shafts, automatic inflation air shafts, mechanical shafts, and manual expansion shafts. Shaft diameters from 1 to 6 inches can be changed quickly to match different paper core sizes and make roll loading and unloading easier.
  • Optional piece-counting and length-counting functions can stop the rewinder automatically once the preset quantity or length is reached. Before the final stop, the rewinder reduces speed in two stages, so the roll slows down smoothly and stops more accurately at the target value.
  • The rewinding shaft supports both forward and reverse rotation, and the rewinder has an electrostatic powder-coated finish for better solvent resistance and long-term protection against peeling and paint damage.
  • These rewinding units have connection points for optional functions such as coding and inspection, which can be added according to the production process.

Optional Thermal Transfer Overprinter (TTO)

The optional TTO overprinter adds variable-data printing directly to the rewinding process. While PE and PET flexible packaging films, label rolls, paper rolls, and other web materials are being rewound, production dates, batch numbers, expiry dates, traceability codes, QR codes, barcodes, ingredient information, logos, and other variable data can be printed at the same time.

Optional Laser Marking / Inkjet Coding System

Rewinding units can also be equipped with an optional laser marking or inkjet coding system, so identification or traceability information can be added while the roll is being rewound. Depending on the coding system selected, production dates, batch numbers, serial numbers, QR codes, model information, and other variable data can be printed or marked directly on the material.

      Slitting and Cutting

Slitting and cutting machines are used after printing or during converting when the material needs to be cut into a different width, length, or sheet size before moving on to the next step. Depending on the job, they can divide wide rolls into narrower rolls, cut web materials into individual sheets, or trim sheets to their final dimensions.
