Cantilevered Winder

Cantilevered Winder

Cantilevered winders rewind films, labels, paper, and other flexible web materials with controlled tension and automatic web guiding. The cantilevered shaft is supported from one side, which makes roll loading and unloading easier. During rewinding, the guiding system corrects web misalignment and keeps the roll neat and wrinkle-free. These narrow web winders can also support web splicing and stable operation at higher speeds.

Functions
  • Automatic web guiding checks the position of the web during rewinding and corrects any misalignment as it occurs, keeping the material straight and reducing wrinkles in the finished roll.
  • An optional slitting system can divide a wide web into several narrower rolls at preset widths. Paper, plastic film, metal foil, adhesive tape, fabric, and other roll materials can be slit continuously in the longitudinal direction and rewound in the same process.
  • Pneumatic expanding shafts on both the unwind and rewind sides make roll loading and removal quick and straightforward. Once the rewinding cycle is complete, the winder stops automatically and gives an alarm.
  • The winder has an electrostatic powder-coated finish for good durability and resistance during everyday industrial use. Reserved connection points also make it possible to add other functions when required for a particular production process.

      Slitting and Cutting

Slitting and cutting machines are used after printing or during converting when the material needs to be cut into a different width, length, or sheet size before moving on to the next step. Depending on the job, they can divide wide rolls into narrower rolls, cut web materials into individual sheets, or trim sheets to their final dimensions.
