Unwind Stand

Unwind Stand

Unwind stands feed roll materials steadily into printing and converting equipment. They hold the supply roll and release the web at a controlled tension, while web guiding keeps the material correctly positioned before it enters the next process. Web unwinders can also be configured with a dust removal unit to clean the material before it enters the next process, while the splicing table provides a convenient area for joining sections of web when needed.

Advantages
  • Unwind stands use a 3-inch pneumatic expanding shaft for quick roll loading and unloading. The shaft expands to hold the roll securely in place and releases it easily when the roll needs to be changed.
  • Features a suspended feeding design that keeps the material surface from rubbing against the supporting structure as it moves, which reduces the risk of scratches during feeding.
  • Their electromagnetic tension control adjusts the web tension as the roll diameter changes, so the material remains stable from the beginning to the end of the roll.
  • Operators can use the splicing table to align and join the end of one roll with the beginning of the next.
  • Their automatic web guiding corrects misalignment during feeding and keeps the material in the proper position before it enters the printing or converting section.

      Slitting and Cutting

Slitting and cutting machines are used after printing or during converting when the material needs to be cut into a different width, length, or sheet size before moving on to the next step. Depending on the job, they can divide wide rolls into narrower rolls, cut web materials into individual sheets, or trim sheets to their final dimensions.
